Weather & Exposure
How real-world weather, wetness, cold, clothing and shelter affect survival.
Real weather is a simulation input
Temperature, rain, snow, wind, humidity, visibility and daylight can affect gameplay rather than serving as a cosmetic widget.
Wetness
Clothing and equipment can move through dry, damp, wet and soaked states. Wet clothing loses insulation and wet sleeping equipment can reduce sleep quality.
Clothing properties
Clothing can model warmth, waterproofing, wind resistance, durability, weight, noise and protection. There are no hidden paid cosmetic bonuses.
What weather changes
- Travel and exposure risk
- Need for shelter and suitable clothing
- Visibility while surveying or moving
- Fire and camp decisions
- Sleep quality
- Crop and long-term survival conditions
