Death & Persistence
What a survivor loses, what the world remembers, and how former-survivor zombies work.
When a survivor dies
Reaching 0 HP kills that survivor. Death is not a soft reset: after a cooldown you begin as a genuinely new survivor.
What is mortal
- Personal inventory
- Innate traits
- Learned survivor skills
- Personal knowledge
World consequences do not automatically reset just because the person who caused them died.
Former-survivor zombies
In worlds where the feature is enabled, a dead survivor may reanimate at the place they died as one persistent former-survivor zombie. It has exactly one authoritative location and may wander locally, respond to noise or join infected movement.
When killed, eligible ordinary possessions can remain as lootable remains. Once fully looted — or after eventual decay/cleanup — that active entity is removed permanently. Historical death records remain.
Account legacy
Non-power lifetime statistics may persist, such as Zombies contributed to the world. Real-money account entitlements cannot be looted, stolen or destroyed.
