What it records

Known places are grouped by the game-owned location taxonomy and can show knowledge stage plus discovery/observation timestamps.

Knowledge authority

The Journal never receives hidden POI truth merely so the template can hide it. An Observed but not yet Identified POI remains Unknown location. It does not reveal scavenged contents or hidden loot history.

Designed to grow

The current surface is intentionally extensible so future health, combat, construction, farming and communications events can share one mortal survivor record without becoming account-wide omniscience.
